Kardia was founded with a clear purpose: to help organisations manage export controls and complex compliance in a way that is clear, practical, and deeply aligned with their mission.

We created Kardia because we saw too many good businesses  especially those building or enabling critical capability  overwhelmed by unclear requirements, limited resources, and a lack of structured support. We knew from experience that it didn’t have to be that way. That compliance, when built in from the beginning, can be a strategic advantage, not just a requirement.

Our team has been deeply embedded in some of Australia’s most complex environments, including over seven years in submarine programs and several more across major maritime, space, aerospace, intelligence, and communications projects, and Joint Battlespace management. We’ve supported projects through every phase of the lifecycle: early stage development, commercialisation, build and delivery, test and evaluation, and operational support. We’ve seen where things fall apart when compliance isn’t well understood or properly managed  and how powerful it can be when it’s done right.

 

We believe in Compliance by Design. Done well, it becomes an enabler of progress  supporting delivery, reducing risk, and building trust across teams, supply chains, and jurisdictions. It ensures obligations are met not just in theory, but in practice. And it makes export controls a competitive advantage rather than an afterthought, particularly in sectors critical to national security and international stability.
